Lost pictures out of a set
Ed asked:
I have a bunch of pictures filed on two computers (Vista on one, XP on the other) and a thumb drive. Not all the picture will come up.I get a message “Photo Gallery can’t open this picture or video. This file format is not suported, or you don’t have the latest updates to Photo Gallery.”
All were taken at the same time, with the same camera.
I can’t find a way to get them back, or to download a more recent Photo Gallery. Any ideas?

update your gallery.
then go to yahoo search
type photo rescue.
OK first make sure you are doing all the transferring using an administrator account
Second Vista tends to change the format of the picture, so as long as you can see all the pictures on which ever computer, or thumb drive they are on, then you will be ok
Third, don’t use any program to transfer the photos, they do weird stuff, just open the folder, and copy them directly to the thumb drive.
Fourth pass all the pictures to what ever computer you want them.
PS. Use another program to view the pictures instead of photo gallery! just look at them on the explorer.
PSS. Vista has this thing to convert images to be able to be seen on vista!
