How to set a.gif picture as your desktop background?
suki_saturn asked:
I have Windows Vista, and I need help setting up a .gif file picture as my desktop background. I have tired the Windows Photo Gallery as my guide and clicked the picture and selected “set as windows desktop background”. This does work alright but the .gif won’t animate. It’s just the still picture. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or how to make it work another way? Five stars for any solution. Thank you!

As of now, Windows does not support animated desktop backgrounds. Maybe in Windows 7 they will add this feature, but for now it’s not supported.
The reason why is because it would just eat away at CPU cycles, and would cause your other programs on your computer to not function at their fastest.
i know one workaround for this….
first you need to put that gif animation into a web page….
you can use many software for this an example is Microsoft word.
you put the file into word and click
file>save as>save as type
chose web page…
hope this helps…
good luck…
