Please help me?

Jessy asked:

I have a Samsung Digimax D53 camera. And I am having trouble uploading my pictures onto my computer.
The directions that came with my camera are
1.Set up the camera driver
2. Take a picture
3. Insert the USB cable
4. Check the camera’s power.
5. Check removable Disk
I’ve been trying to upload these pictures for about a month now. And I haven’t figured it out. So I decided I would go to Windows Photo Gallery and try to figure it out. So there directions were.
1. connect with USB cable
2. Turn camera on
3. in box that appears click IMPORT USING WINDOWS
if box doesn’t appear auto play may be turned off…so
1. Click to open Windows Photo Gallery
2. On the toolbar, click file, and then click IMPORT PICTURES AND VIDS FROM SCANNER.
3. in the IMPORT PICTURES AND VIDEOS box, choose your camera from the list of devices, than click import
I did all these steps and it said No new pictures on this device, which I don’t understand b/c they are all new.
Please if you know what to do explain.

it sounds to me like it already imported them, you just don’t know where they are. to search for them, if you look a photo on your camera, it usually has a prefix, like CIMG001, or something like that. search that prefix on windows search and see if it can find them.

second, if that doesn’t work, just plug it in, and turn on the camera, and go to my computer, and see if a new letter drive has appeared, like removable drive: F, or something to that effect. double click it and see if a folder is in there.

lastly, go out and buy a card reader, they are like 10 bucks and they are infinitely more simple. leave it plugged in, insert camera card, voila.
