You must have another image viewing program set to be default for opening all images, unknowingly. What program does open the images? If you have a photo printer that you’ve installed the drivers for, there may be another program that was bundled with it. I know that hp has a program called photosmart premier that comes on the CD that is used to install the software drivers. Canon does too. If when loaded, you forgot to un-check the box that will make that program the default image program, it will become the default automatically. You have to go into ‘default programs’ from the control panel folder to change it. Vista has an interface that I don’t care for in the control panel, so I select ‘classic view’ to find the program. If you haven’t loaded any other programs, like adobe ImageReady (that will replace your default program) start at the control panel and change it back. After clicking on ‘default programs’, select ’set your default programs’, you’ll then see a list of programs. Select ‘windows photo gallery’, then click ’set as default’. The program should then automatically open when you click on any image.
